New York Mets: Beyonce Concert Destroys Citi Field Playing Surface

Beyoncé rips up field at her concert at Citi Field causing the New York Mets to take extra practice.

Beyoncé’s “The Formation” World Tour performed in front of New York Mets faithful at Citi Field on June 7th and 8th.
Her bootylicious dancing seemed to be too much for Citi Field’s grass as the Mets had to replace the turf before Tuesday night’s home game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Which resulted in the team taking extra practice on the field to get used to the new playing surface.
Not only is Terry Collins dealing with injuries to his lineup (and himself) these days, but, apparently, Beyonce is tearing his grass up as well. Nice going, Queen B.
#Mets are taking extra fielding practice today to get used to the turf, which Beyonce’s concert chewed up during their road trip.
