Kevin Love won’t play tonight in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. He’s not happy about it.

Kevin Love left Game 2 of the NBA Finals and was placed under concussion protocol, making his status for Game 3 uncertain.

Marc Stein of ESPN cleared things up when he confirmed that Love’s injuries will keep him out of Wednesday night’s game.

Per Stein, Love is “really frustrated” that the Cavs won’t let him play. This is just the latest in a long line of hiccups during Love’s career in Cleveland.

ESPN.com and their panel of experts ranked Love as the seventh best player in the NBA heading into the 2014-15 season, his first with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

It’s unbelievable that he’s fallen this far.

Less than two years later and Love already has one foot out the door, a likely trade candidate when the season ends. His poor defense is on full display against the Warriors and it’s pushed him out of the conversation as an elite forward.

Per NBA.com, the Cavs have allowed 106.6 points per 100 possessions with Love on the floor during the playoffs and just 100.1 points per 100 possessions without him.

After the way the Cavs have been dominated in the first two games on both ends, a change could be necessary. Even if it is a forced one.
