The New York Knicks are in the Golden State tonight to take on MVP candidate Steph Curry and his blazing hot Warriors.
- New York Knicks (28-40)
- Golden State Warriors (60-6)
- NBA, Today, 10:30 PM on MSG, CSBA, Full Preview
- Oracle Arena, Oakland, CA
It’s been a sunny week for both the New York Knicks, who flew into Cali on Sunday, and their fans, as they look to win back-to-back games for the first time since January.
Then…suddenly a dark cloud wandered over their hopes as they realized they were facing the reigning NBA Champion Warriors and not the disaster that is the Los Angeles Lakers again.
But, hey, anything can happen!
Rookie sensation Kristaps Porzingis will make his return to the hardwood after missing the past game with a stomach illness.
In their late-January matchup, the Warriors demolished New York by 21 points. Of course, they never really had a chance. Former Head Coach Derek Fisher must have known something about containing Steph Curry, because the Knicks locked him up all game long, as he shot 5-17 and finished with 13 points. The issue was, by focusing all their attention on Steph, they forget about Splash Brother #2 Klay Thompson, who scored 34 points.
Hopefully, Kurt Rambis drew up a solid gameplay that involves scoring many points and holding the Warriors to a few. Call it wishful thinking, but a W would be nice. It’s not like the Knicks can tank for a draft pick.
