The Cleveland Browns aren’t going anywhere this season, but tight end Gary Barnidge has one awesome gift for the fans.

The Cleveland Browns aren’t doing much on the gridiron these days…well, per usual…but that doesn’t mean the team is totally irrelevant this time of year.

If you’re in the Cleveland-area and free this Christmas Eve, NFL and Star Wars fans alike can team up with Browns tight end Gary Barnidge and co., who is renting out a whole movie theater to watch the newest iteration in the famous sci-fi/fantasy series, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

For a team that does little, if anything right, whether on the field or off it, this is an awesome way for Barnidge and his teammates to give back to the fans of Cleveland.

Especially since you can’t count on the playoffs this year.

Seriously, if the fans are going to shed thousands of dollars each year on tickets, souvenirs, and lots and lots of beer…to watch the Browns…at least this is one way for one of their own to show appreciation back to its loyal fanbase.

For the record, Gary has done his part, hauling in career highs this season in receptions (68), yards (930), yards per game (66.4) and nine touchdowns.

Props, Gary. Merry Christmas, Cleveland.
