In perhaps their most impressive first-half of the NBA season the New York Knicks lead the Timberwolves by 20 with Kristaps Porzingis collecting six blocks.

If this is what a three-day layoff produces, the New York Knicks wish every game was once per four days. They probably put together their best first-half of the season tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Knickerbockers currently lead 60-40 as the two teams rest at half. And this is the case without Carmelo Anthony doing much. He’s not forcing the issue, only compiling eight points on 3-of-5 shooting.

Furthermore, their defense and toughness under the basket is spot on. Young Kristaps Porzingis has been valuable on the defensive end. His six blocks and toughness around the bigs down low is quite evident on this night:

The second half has just tipped.
