When you have hops to claim you actually experienced your tooth getting caught in the net is when you’ve made it. Kentucky’s Alex Poythress is now there.

Ouch. Folks, I don’t care who you are, that’s gotta hurt a little.

During Kentucky’s commanding 74-63 victory over Duke on Tuesday night, Wildcats big man Alex Poythress sent one home off an alley-oop from freshman Jamal Murray. It was just another example of Kentucky’s incredible talent on full display.

Though there was an issue.

Poythress’s tooth actually got caught up in the net during the slam.

Before we take off and head back to Lexington, chew on this. Alex did.

The dominating big guy finished the night with nine points, seven rebounds and one block in 30 minutes. Although it was quite the scare, he turned out to be alright.
