Inspiration was the name of the game for the New York Knicks on Sunday.
Carmelo Anthony’s 29 points and Kevin Seraphin’s 14 productive minutes were enough to propel the Knickerbockers to a well deserved 95-87 victory over Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday afternoon at Madison Square Garden.
Not only did Melo pour in 29, but he did it on a very efficient 11-of-21 shooting. He finished with a double-double as he also hauled in 13 boards.
Seraphin, the France native, received the surprise extended minutes from Derek Fisher today. He made the most of it by adding 12 tough points and three rebounds to the cause.
He was also in full support mode with his Anthony Mason throwback hair. But instead of a Knickerbocker/New York City theme, he went with Paris (showing support for his native country):

Of course his overall play was pretty stellar as well:

With the win the Knicks snap a pesky two-game losing streak and climb to within one game of the .500 mark. Next up they’ll welcome in Michael Jordan’s Charlotte Hornets to MSG on Tuesday night.
