After two nail-biting wins over the Los Angeles Lakers and the Toronto Raptors, the New York Knicks will look to carry that momentum over tonight as they take on the Charlotte Hornets.

Of course the big news of the night is that free agent acquisition Arron Afflalo will finally make his Knicks’ debut. After nursing hamstring problems for the first eight games Afflalo will start at the shooting guard position tonight.

Emotions will be running high with Afflalo’s return, but the Knicks can’t take their eye off the ball. Charlotte has won three of their last four games as scoring has heated up.

Part of that has been the spark provided by their bench, headlined by former Knick Jeremy Lin. Charlotte point guard and Bronx native Kemba Walker always seems to play well against the Knicks. Jose Calderon will have his hands full with Walker tonight. It will be another tough game for the Knicks that will go down to the wire.

To make room for Afflalo on the roster, Cleanthony Early was placed on the inactive list.
