Playing the tough San Antonio Spurs tonight at Madison Square Garden, New York Knicks rookie sensation Kristaps Porzingis climbs the ladder.

Every game the kids gets just a little better. In some games he takes huge strides.

Whether we witness small steps or huge leaps, the fact that New York Knicks prized rookie possession, Kristaps Porzingis, is improving at every turn. The young 20-year old Latvian sensation is a flat-out stud. It’s as simple as that.

Tonight with the San Antonio Spurs in town, KP has decided to show Gregg Popovich, Tim Duncan, and especially LaMarcus Aldridge just what he’s capable of.

Check out this sick put-back dunk he came up with off a Carmelo Anthony miss (video above). Aldridge will surely be on a few posters after that one.

As it stands right now, the two teams play on in the 4th quarter with the Spurs holding an eight-point lead. Porzingis has 13 points on 5-of-12 shooting to go along with 13 rebounds.

As a bonus, KP flashes a little “Dr. J” early on in the contest:
