The current news floating around regarding Patrick Kane doesn’t seem to be getting any better for the NHL star.

It seems that every day Chicago Blawkhawks marque forward Patrick Kane has more news about rape allegations coming out, the hole Kane is finding himself in is getting deeper and deeper.

Yahoo Sports reports that a woman who was with the victim on the night that the allegations occurred have been subpoenaed to court. It’s not looking too good for Kane, who has had a few prior incidents in the past.

The woman who is at the nucleus of this case is a 26 year old, and she is scheduled to speak in front of a grand jury on September eighth.

WGRZ, a Buffalo news broadcast, has former Erie County District Attorney Frank Clark saying, “Right now, it looks as though the decider as to whether or not Patrick Kane is guilty of any criminal conduct or not will be an Erie County grand jury,”.

With the NHL Preseason opening on September 20th, and the Blackhawks season opener on the Sept. 7, it seems that the investigation will carry over well into the start of the 2015-2016 NHL season. It’ll be interesting to see how the Chicago Blackhawks respond at the start of training camp, and it’ll be interesting to see if Patrick Kane will even be at camp.

Kane, who helped lead the Blackhawks to their third Stanley Cup championship in five seasons, is still yet to release a statement on the incident. However, as a result of the allegations Kane has been removed from the cover of EA Sports’ NHL 16.

I love watching sports, specifically teams in New York. I'll root for all New York teams, but the New York Rangers and hockey are my number one. I am an avid hockey fan and enjoy expressing my opinion on the Blueshirts, when they are playing good and bad.
