Just one Kobe Bryant question was enough to turn this Los Angeles Lakers press conference into a painfully awkward situation.
Almost just as legendary as his mid-range game a half-decade ago, Kobe Bryant’s social skills are receiving just as much hype.
And unfortunately for the Black-Mamba, it’s coming in waves for all the wrong reasons.
Rumors surfaced that Kobe has actually now become a detriment to the Los Angeles Lakers organization off the court by way of attracting stud free agents. LaMarcus Aldridge was just one example of a guy who wasn’t feeling the vibe Bryant was given during his free agent meeting with Hollywood’s team.
Kobe just doesn’t understand he’s not Batman anymore.

Today, as the Lakers announced newly acquired players Roy Hibbert, Lou Williams and Brandon Bass during a standard press conference, the room suddenly felt awkwardly quiet after one reporter asked if any of them had spoken with Kobe.
“Have any of you guys heard from Kobe? And if so, what did he say?” the reporter asked.
Blank stares, head swiveling and painful body gestures is all the room received.
