The absolute worst thing that could’ve happened has now gone down.

New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony is publicly expressing his displeasure with Phil Jackson’s decision to select Latvian sensation Kristaps Porzingis No. 4 overall in the 2015 NBA Draft.

Frank Isola of the New York Daily News had the scoop first:

Melo, who’s now 31-years of age, is reportedly most upset that Porzingis will need time to fully develop and adapt to the NBA game.

This news is the perfect cherry on top for a night that has already been deemed a disaster. The Knicks contingent at Barclay’s Center last night voiced their displeasure loudly and it seems Anthony is doing the same now.

Anthony is of course recovering from knee surgery, an issue that forced him to only partake in 40-games a season ago.

When Jackson was asked if he had Melo on the mind when he made the Porzingis pick, he calmly responded:

It’s just another night in Knicks land. Isiah Thomas is back; Jackson is picking guys from Latvia; and Melo is extremely pissed off.

It’s going to be a fantastic season.
