Forget Jeffrey Maier, this Chicago Cubs fan takes the trophy home by a wide margin for top catch in the stands.

Under normal circumstances, the idiot fan that decides to interfere with the game is mocked, ridiculed and sent home with a whole level of new shame.
When dealing with the Chicago Cubs, we very rarely discuss things that fall under normal circumstances.
We all remember 2003. Steve Bartman (god bless his soul wherever he may be), took the undesirable crown for jackass fan of the century:
Long story short, the Cubs are still without a World Series appearance.
Now, Bartman picks up a little reprieve.
This catch by a Cubs dad who, not only interfered with Los Angeles Dodgers first-baseman Adrian Gonzalez from making the catch, but did so while holding his baby has allowed a positive spin on Cubs fan interference.
While splendid, Dan Mattingly argued the foul ball and eventually forced the call to be reversed to an out.
