NBA Mock Draft, Knicks Have A Decision To Make

4. New York Knicks: Justice Winslow (SF-Duke)
Now that the lottery results are in, most have Phil Jackson and the New York Knicks taking Emmanuel Mudiay in this spot.
It makes sense. Mudiay is athletic with a ready-made body for the association. Furthermore, Phil Jackson loves his guards big.
However, I’m thinking upset here with Jackson taking the sure, winning attitude of Justice Winslow over the uncertainty that is Mudiay.
Winslow does so many things on both ends of the floor that Phil won’t be able to pass on the kid. He’ll be able to play forward next to Carmelo Anthony most of the game, pushing Melo to the 4-spot where he’s most comfortable.
Should Derek Fisher want to go bigger, this is where the bench will come into play.
The NBA is a different league now. One that sees very few traditional power forwards like decades past. Jackson might just realize this by the time the draft comes (if he hadn’t traded the pick by then).
