Do you remember Derek Jeter’s flying grab while falling into the stands?
It was a July game between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox, right before the All-Star break at Yankee Stadium. It was, perhaps, one of the greatest regular season games we all witnessed.
The reason it was so great was thanks to the Yankee Captain and his catch that left him bloody and bruised.
It looks as though somebody is trying to trump that catch. That somebody is Kansas City Royals outfielder Alex Gordon.
Tonight in Chicago, as the Royals took on the White Sox, Gordon went down the left field line as he tracked a foul-fly ball.

How about that one?
This is easily an early entry for “MLB Catch of the Year.”
