Today’s Brooklyn Nets news features more Mozgov EuroBasket highlights, and the Cavaliers fielding offers for the Nets ’18 pick.

Brooklyn sent their first rounder for 2018 to the Boston Celtics in the Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce blockbuster trade that Nets fans are still trying to forget.

Now it’s been traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in a package including Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, and Ante Zizic. Could it be on the move again?

There’s no evidence that Cleveland is actively shopping the pick, but they’re certainly listening to what’s available. Rumor has it that they have their eyes on New Orleans Pelicans’ center DeMarcus Cousins—but that’s strictly speculation.

The 2018 pick is deemed a potential top-five, but assuredly within the lottery.

Brooklyn recorded a league worst 20-62 record last year, but hold high expectations for the upcoming season.

As rumors begin to swirl, and the pick remains available, it will be interesting to see how other teams see the Nets’ potential.

Above all else, it’s a great motivator for Brooklyn, who has been projected to win 29.5 wins next year by ESPN.

Elsewhere in Nets’ land, Timofey Mozgov has been balling out in the EuroBasket league for Team Russia.

After tallying 31 points and 17 rebounds through the first two games, the Russian big man scored 12 points and grabbed three rebounds in their win over Belgium.  The best part? This monster left handed jam.

After being criticized and often called overpaid, Mozgov is reminding us why he’s put on the books for nearly $50 million through 2019-20.

The Russian team is now 3-0 in EuroBasket and will play Knicks’ star Kristaps Porzingis and Team Latvia on Tuesday at 2:15 GMT.
