The New York Giants won’t be getting JPP at a discount next season. If the Giants want to keep their dismembered star, they’ll have to pay up.

There’s a very good chance that New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul will be having a similar conversation that Cuba Gooding Jr had with Tom Cruise.

Show me the money! JPP played the Giants game last season when they swiped his long term deal off the table after the fireworks incident. Now he’s in no mood to bend to the Giants negotiations.

“There’s not really a guy like me out here doing it with seven and a half fingers,” he said, via Kimberley Martin of Newsday.

Pierre-Paul had seven sacks this year in 12 games and nd he’s ready to get paid, because if the Giants don’t, someone else will. Given the money pass rushers have received over the last 24 months, JPP is going to get his.

This would be JPP’s first real chance at an open market. In his session with the media, he reiterated that he’d love to return to big blue, but that this was strictly a business decision.

The Giants weren’t afraid to show their defense the money last season spending over $200 million dollars doing it. We’ll see if they’re willing to pay their own stars within the next two months.
