New York Giants running back Shane Vereen will be active for tomorrow’s clash with the Lions.

The New York Giants have received an early Christmas gift for this Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions. As reported by Dan Benton of USA Today, Giants running back Shane Vereen has been cleared to play this Sunday against the Detroit Lions.

Vereen suffered a concussion against division rival Dallas last Sunday after just three snaps, which was certainly heartbreaking as it was his first game back since Week 3.

Despite being limited in practice all week, the doctors ultimately ruled him clear of a concussion — and he will be on the field.

Head coach Ben McAdoo said on Friday that the Giants’ offense will utilize the set of plays they were unable to use last week.

This will definitely provide a huge boost to a run game that has been invisible this season since Vereen was sidelined. The addition will also make the Giants a threat not only through the air, but also on the ground.
