New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley injures what appears to be his ankle and leaves the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

From a season-high to a season-low—welcome to the New York Giants 2019 season.

In the same half that showcased Daniel Jones’s first career touchdown, New York Giants stud running back Saquon Barkley injures what appears to be his ankle.

He immediately left the game and needed help getting to the locker room.

The Giants have officially listed his return as questionable.

Barkley, 22, is by far the team’s best player. It appeared to be an ankle injury, having it caught up underneath the defender during the tackle. But it’s impossible to know for sure. The knee could be involved.

The young workhorse back has resurfaced. He joined his team on the sideline in the second half in street clothes while sporting a walking boot.

Barkley finishes the day with 10 yards on the ground on eight carries and 21 yards through the air on three catches.
