Inspiring pediatric cancer survivor Gio Toribio tallies an epic touchdown at the annual New York Jets Green & White Scrimmage.
Nope, it wasn’t Sam Darnold. It wasn’t Robby Anderson on one of his famous nine-routes. It wasn’t Bilal Powell taking an outside zone to the house. It wasn’t even a shocker in the form of a Jamal Adams pick-six.
The first New York Jets touchdown of the season came in the form of Gio Toribio, a young pediatric cancer survivor whose epic rushing score on Saturday night at the organization’s annual Green & White Scrimmage brought the house down.
These inspirational touchdowns have become the norm at the annual Green & White Scrimmage and better yet, professional athletes are no match for these incredibly special kids.

Young Gio, a product of Westchester County, was also named “Chief for a Day” in Ossining back in 2016, via Eyewitness News.
He officially defeated cancer in early 2017, garnering the label of “cancer free.” Now he’s simply tearing up professional defenders.
Guys like cornerback Morris Claiborne and newcomer Avery Williamson were no match for Gio. I mean seriously, Todd Bowles’s is going to seriously have to shore up his run defense after Saturday night and all due to the talent-dripping skills showcased by young Gio Toribio at Rutgers University.
