A fan of the New York Jets “exchanged” DMs with the team’s Twitter account suggesting they should draft first round pick, Jamal Adams.

It’s common knowledge that the New York Jets have a rapid fanbase. One fan decided to insert himself into the NFL Draft process the only way he knew how: through social media.

It was Twitter of course. The persistent fan with the handle @KyleTeichert exchanged direct messages with the Jets team account.

The player in question was LSU Tigers safety Jamal Adams. He was selected by the Jets with the No. 6 overall pick in Thursday’s draft.

Per Bleacher Report, it was “every day at peculiar times.”

The tweet shows only Jan. messages, but it “wouldn’t be shocking if he stayed with it right up until draft day.”

It’s not a surprise this fan would want Adams. He was widely viewed as a top prospect in the draft and a steal at No. 6.

Good for @KyleTeichert. He’s probably been celebrating all weekend.
