Now that the crying is over and the New York Jets finish 2016 at 5-11, we sort out all of the ugliness that went along with this squad.

Whether you cried hysterically or laughed uncontrollably, you’re now extremely relieved in knowing that it’s finally over.

This torture ride that is the 2016 New York Jets has finally come to an end.

It ended after the Jets defeated the Buffalo Bills by the final of 30-10 at MetLife Stadium during Week 17. In a game that losing could have snagged them the possible third selection, the Jets thrashed Buffalo to secure the sixth slot in the 2017 NFL Draft.

(Losing wouldn’t have helped them anyway, as the Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Rams, and Jacksonville Jaguars all won.) Therefore, a win or a loss wouldn’t have changed their No. 6 status.

Now that it’s over, though, we get on to the good stuff — some of the numbers and verbiage that cements this Jets team in organizational history as one of the worst.

Rich Cimini of ESPN New York had the best one of the day, up to this point:

That’s right, a total of 75 players played at least one game for Gang Green this season, tying the most in NFL history.

“Just End The Season” couldn’t have come quick enough this time around.
