Following a disappointing season for the New York Jets, it does seem as if head coach Todd Bowles will still be around for the 2017 season.

According to Kristian Dyer of Metro, the New York Jets locker room is on board with the idea that head coach Todd Bowles will be back in 2017.

At least one player is on board with the idea.

One player told Metro, “We had heard, read some of that stuff over the past couple of days. I think everyone is pretty much alright and excited with the idea and excited about it.”

While Jets fans might not be thrilled with the idea of holding onto a coach who is currently 4-11 and could finish the season at 4-12, there may not be a better option out there and Bowles deserves another year.

In his first season with the Jets, Bowles led the team to 10-6 record which left them in contention until the final week of the season. ven though this year has been a failure the HC is currently 14-17, which isn’t awful 2017 will have to be the year the Jets return to the playoffs otherwise all Jets fans will be upset with the franchise.

Even though this year has been a failure the Jets head coach, Jets fans should still enter 2017 with an open mind and expect things to be better for Todd Bowles and his squad.
