Former New York Jets tight end Konrad Reuland dies after suffering a brain aneurysm.

Former Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets tight end Konrad Reuland died on Monday after suffering a brain aneurysm, Ravens coach Jim Harbaugh announced the news Monday night after the Ravens lost to the New England Patriots. Reuland was 29.

According to USA Today, Reuland had brain surgery on November 29, the day after he suffered the aneurysm. He passed away at his home in California. The tight end’s mother told the Ravens that he had passed away.

“We lost a Raven today,” Harbaugh said. I just want to offer condolences to his family. We love Konrad Reuland. Every single guy in the locker room loves him.”

Harbaugh then recited a short psalm and said that it was for Konrad.

In 2011, Reuland signed with the San Fransico 49ers. After the 49ers cut him he went to the Jets. He had 12 catches for 90 yards in his two seasons with the Jets (2012 and 2013), according to ESPN. Last year he played four games for the Ravens but didn’t have a catch.

Teams and player paid tribute to Reuland on Twitter.
