A Taylor Hall of Mike Cammalleri hookup in overtime allowed the New Jersey Devils to complete a three-goal comeback in Nashville.

  • New Jersey Devils 5 (11-7-6, 28 pts)
  • Nashville Predators 4 (11-8-4, 26 pts)

  • Bridgestone Arena, Nashville, TN

It’s tough to decide which fact surrounding the New Jersey Devils is nuttier. Could it be the mere fact that this club has played in 13 overtime games in 24 chances this season, or the idea that Saturday afternoon’s game in Nashville against the Predators ended in overtime after the Devils came back from a 4-1 third period lead?

We’ll go with the latter, for now.

A Taylor Hall to Mike Cammalleri hookup in OT ended the game for the Devils after they scored three unanswered goals in the final frame to force overtime:

The game-winner was Cammalleri’s second of the game, as he was the man who started the third period flurry. Andy Greene and Adam Henrique were the other two goal-scorers in the frame.

Taylor Hall picked up his sixth of the season in the first period after New Jersey relented the first tally of the game. Keith Kinkaid stopped 38-of-42 shots including a couple tough ones late in regulation.

For Nashville, Kevin Fiala struck twice while P.K. Subban and Roman Josi also scored.

New Jersey will now take two days off prior to welcoming in the Vancouver Canucks to The Rock for a Tuesday night date.
