Kyle Palmieri picked up the lone assist by executing the 2-on-1 to perfection.

The game headed to overtime thanks to the play of Cory Schneider who 23 of the 24 shots he faced on the night. Only Patrick Eaves, his seventh of the season, was able to slip one past the all-star netminder.

For New Jersey, the lone goalscorer in regulation came in the form of Damon Severson who beat Antti Niemi just 7:40 into the contest. P.A. Parenteau and Beau Bennett collected assists on the play.

Next up will be a trip to Anaheim to take on the Ducks Wednesday night when they’ll look to extend this wining-streak to six.
