The likes of Vinny Testaverde, Kevin Mawae, Herm Edwards, and the rest of the New York Jets reflect on the tragic events surrounding 9/11.

There are days in our country’s history that are memorable, and there are days in our country’s history that are unforgettable.

The date of Sept. 11, 2001 will forever be one of those unforgettable days.

Every 9/11 since and throughout the rest of your life will reflect the actual impact this day had on so many American’s lives. The franchise of the New York Jets was no different (when gauging impact).

Take a look at the above video released by the Jets official Twitter account and found on their official website.

This fantastic watch recounts what Herman Edward’s Jets went through leading up to their next game in Foxborough against the New England Patriots. Center Kevin Mawae even made mention that the team decided to forfeit the week prior (if the NFL hadn’t cancelled the week’s action).

Of course, the NFL opens up on Sept. 11, 2016 with their first full slate of games.
