Now that Preston Parker carried over his pass dropping ways into Week 2, Reese and the New York Giants have cut the speedy wide receiver.

By Robby Sabo

There’s only one possible resolution for a fringe NFL wide receiver who drops five passes in just two games.

He gets cut.

While veterans receive the benefit of the doubt more often than not, guys like Preston Parker find themselves on the street very quickly.

If nothing else, this cutting of Parker sends a message to a team who needs to wake up.

With a 0-2 record, after losing two-straight fourth quarter leads of two possessions, Eli Manning, Tom Coughlin and the New York Giants are searching for answers. Perhaps coming down hard on one of the guys who was looked upon as adding a nice element to the offense could turn a few heads around the locker room.

If nothing else, it’ll now get fans to stop bringing of the name of James Jones, who was cut in favor of Parker prior to the regular season.
