New York Jets first round pick Leonard Williams picks up his first preseason NFL sack on Friday night against the Atlanta Falcons.

Friday was a hopeful was for head coach Todd Bowles and his New York Jets.

He had hoped that they’d come out firing from the get go. Played better than their porous 23-3 showing in Detroit last Thursday night against the Lions in NFL Preseason Week 1.

His hopes vanished quickly as the Atlanta Falcons completely dominated the Jets first-team to the tune of a 14-0 score after their first two drives.

On the other hand, some bright spots could be taken from the game. One in particular was first-round pick Leonard Williams notching his first career preseason sack and safety on the same play as he drilled Falcons backup quarterback Tyler Yates.
