New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. threw out one pitch during a celebrity softball game and has since been offered a contract.

You remember that video of New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., right?

No, not the one that put him on the map as he made one of the more obscene catches in NFL history against the Dallas Cowboys. No, not the one that time he decided to do his best LeBron James impression and dunk in his driveway.

It’s the one of him throwing some serious heat from the mound at a celebrity softball game.

Thanks to one pitch, Beckham Jr. has been offered a legitimate professional baseball contract from the Rockland Boulders.

Via Boulders team site:

It’s apparent that Odell is a very gifted athlete regardless of his sport. We think that getting experience pitching to professional hitters will give him the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Deion Sanders and Bo Jackson. As we are the New York area’s only defending professional championship team, he will have the opportunity to learn in a first-class environment while still in close proximity to MetLifeStadium.

This could be the most idiotic thing I’ve heard of since John Rocker.

Even Bobby Jones, a former MLB pitcher and current pitching coach for the squad, is fully behind the offer. He says Beckham has serious potential and that he was very impressed with his mechanics.

Hey Boulders, check your mail in a few days. I sent you a video of myself hitting a home run in my backyard.
