Now that the official 2015 NFL Schedule is out, we can play the ultra meaningless “Win-Loss Game” with the New York Jets.

By Robby Sabo

Honestly, it means nothing.

If you think trying to figure out which games will be exhilarating wins or devastating losses in late April is a concrete plan of action, you’re sorely fooling yourself. Not even have experienced the NFL Draft, we don’t even know the true makeup of all 32 teams for the coming season.

Nevertheless, the NFL Schedule has just been released and we are sucker for extra thinking.

This is why we must play the “Win-Loss Schedule” game for the New York Jets.

With a new regime in town – general manager Mike Maccagnan and head coach Todd Bowles – the Jets have changed face considerably over the course of one single offseason. Guys like Darrelle Revis, Buster Skrine, Antonio Cromartie, Brandon Marshall and Marcus Gilchrist have allowed fans to once again puff up and be excited about 2015.

Considering the extra incentive of wanting to beat down the New England Patriots, who have won the Super Bowl again, and destroying Rex Ryan and his Buffalo Bills twice this upcoming season, this campaign should be extra fun.

Without further ado, here’s our breakdown on the Jets schedule, rolling through by looking at in in quarters:

Games 1-4

  • Vs. Cleveland Browns – WIN
  • @ Indianapolis Colts – LOSS
  • Vs. Philadelphia Eagles – WIN
  • @ Miami Dolphins (London) – LOSS

We give the Jets a victory against Chip Kelly’s Philadelphia Eagles at home in Week 3. The uncertainty surrounding the team makes it conceivable New York should have no issues at home here.

Although, giving the Jets the loss in London against the Miami Dolphins seems fair to balance out the first four weeks. Going 2-2 through the first four should be okay when all said and done.

Games 5-8

  • Vs. Washington Redskins – WIN
  • @ New England Patriots – LOSS
  • @ Oakland Raiders –  WIN
  • Vs. Jacksonville Jaguars – WIN

The second quarter of the season is when the Jets can really take advantage of the schedule.

Only the New England Patriots remain real towering opponents during this span. The other three opponents – the Washington Redskins, Oakland Raiders and Jacksonville Jaguars – have to be marked down as victories right now.

Games 9-12

  • Vs. Buffalo Bills – WIN
  • @ Houston Texans – LOSS
  • Vs. Miami Dolphins – WIN
  • @ New York Giants – LOSS

At home, the Jets will need to handle the Buffalo Bills if they have any design on making a playoff push.

We gave them a loss at Houston. The reason? Well, Bill O’Brien is a fantastic coach and the Texans should be an improved team. Tough road game right there.

The Giants game during Week 12 could be the most critical game of the season for Gang Green.

Games 13-16

  • Vs. Tennessee Titans – WIN
  • @ Dallas Cowboys – LOSS
  • Vs. New England Patriots – WIN
  • @ Buffalo Bills – WIN

It’s an obviously tough stretch to end the season.

The Titans game needs to be a sure win. Their talent is nowhere near ready to compete. As far as the last three games are concerned, the Pats game at home needs to be a win and so must the Bills game in Buffalo.
