New York Yankees ace Luis Severino will be gone until after the MLB All-Star break, according to general manager Brian Cashman.

New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman informed the world that his ace pitcher will be out until after the MLB All-Star break. He announced the terrible news on SiriusXM radio as translated by Mark W. Sanchez of the New York Post.
“[Luis] Severino you won’t see until after the All-Star break, in our minds,” Brian Cashman said Sunday on Sirius XM.
Severino, 25, was initially shut down during spring training with a rotator-cuff inflammation. A comeback seemed imminent until his next setback, a grade 2 lat strain.
Cashman’s words provide the first glimpse pertaining to a potential Severino sighting in 2019.
The two-time All-Star busted out in 2017 only to follow it up with a superb 2018. Despite falling off a cliff towards the end of the campaign, the man the kids call Sevy finished with a 3.39 ERA and 1.145 WHIP to go along with 220 strikeouts in 191.1 total innings pitched.
Fellow starter James Paxton also recently hit the shelf with left knee inflammation, making Severino’s status even more crucial.
