New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony is named Teammate of the Year while Jamel Artis reportedly signs a partially guaranteed deal.

As a member of the New York Knicks, Carmelo Anthony receives a lot of criticism for his perceived selfish play. One thing that can’t be denied is how great a teammate he’s been.

The NBPA recognized Anthony with the honor of Teammate of the Year for the Knicks.

Kristaps Porzingis has mentioned how much he admires Anthony and wants to continue playing with his friend. It’s not a surprise that he’d be given this award.

Although it’s ironic considering the odds are strong that he won’t be on the team for much longer.

Ian Begley of ESPN reports the Knicks agreed to a partially guaranteed deal with Jamel Artis.

The former Pittsburgh Panther impressed the organization with his play during summer league, so he’ll get a chance to earn that final two-way deal.

Artis will be competing with former Wisconsin Badger Nigel Hayes, who was signed to an identical deal yesterday.
