New York Knicks‘ Carmelo Anthony has spoken with the front office while Charles Oakley accepted a plea deal related to the MSG incident.
Carmelo Anthony is changing his tune about the New York Knicks front office. Just two days after telling reporters he hasn’t spoken with the team this summer, Anthony told ESPN the opposite.
In an interview with Scott Van Pelt, Anthony says the front office knows how he feels. The ten-time All-Star stated that there’s been “great conversations” with new GM Scott Perry.

There’s been somewhat of a resolution in the Charles Oakley case regarding the incident at MSG.
Ian Begley reports that Oakley accepted a plea deal that “essentially clears him of charges as long as he stays out of trouble for 6 months.”
Unfortunately, one condition of the plea deal is that the legendary Knick isn’t allowed in Madison Square Garden for one year.
Oakley’s attorney says that his client “will be pursuing all civil remedies against Mr. (James) Dolan based on this incident.”
Another interesting wrinkle is that an MSG lawyer asked the district attorney to force Oakley to attend anger management classes. The request was denied.
