On this special edition of Schwartz on Sports, Peter is joined by Jeff Idelson, the president of the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.

There’s nothing quite like a visit to the National Baseball Hall of fame and Museum in Cooperstown. It is absolute heaven for baseball fans of all ages with all of the history, artifacts, and exhibits that will take your breath away. But this coming weekend is always an extra special time in Cooperstown as the Hall of Fame will induct its Class of 2017.

Former Yankee Tim Raines, Jeff Bagwell, Ivan Rodriguez, John Schuerholz and former Commissioner Bud Selig will be inducted this coming Sunday and the festivities also include the presentation of the Ford C. Frick Award to longtime A’s broadcaster Bill King and the J.G. Taylor Spink Award for writers to Claire Smith.

Joining me on this edition of “Schwartz on Sports” to chat about induction weekend and what it’s like to visit Cooperstown is Jeff Idelson, the President of the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Jeff has spent 31 years working in baseball and has been the President of the Hall of Fame since 2008.

If you have never been up to Cooperstown, it’s a must-see for any baseball fan.

You can follow the Hall of fame on Twitter @baseballhall and Jeff Idelson @HalloffamePrez.
