New York Rangers captain Ryan McDonagh executes a kick save and a beauty that helps the Metropolitan win the NHL All-Star Game.

“Oh, baby. That was a kick save and a beauty.”

Those were the words the combination of Sam Rosen and John Davidson would pull off in the MSG Network booth back in the day when referring to Mike Richter. That was, until, JD broke our hearts and took to the front office down in St. Louis (now, Columbus).

Those would have been his words on Sunday at the NHL All-Star Game as well, in reference to New York Rangers captain Ryan Mcdonagh.

With the Metropolitan Division squaring off against the Pacific in the finals, McDonagh robbed the west of a goal that helped the Metro secure the victory:

The final score turned out as a 4-3 count in favor of the division all three locals are a part of.
