Veteran New York Rangers defenseman Dan Boyle made it extremely clear on Tuesday how he felt about the New York Post’s Larry Brooks.

Well, if we didn’t know prior to Tuesday, we do now: New York Rangers soon-to-be former defenseman Dan Boyle most definitely reads the papers.

Instead of acting like a professional in New York City, the greatest media capital of the world, Boyle went off with a profanity laced tirade on Larry Brooks of the New York Post. Brooks has been extremely critical of Boyle’s play during the two years he spent on Broadway.

So, let me get this straight Dan. You spend two seasons in New York, read the papers about how bad you are and how much you hurt the team, and then don’t say anything or confront anybody until the very last day you’ll ever represent the franchise?

Terrible job. If you had any onions you would have confronted Brooks much earlier in the season.

When your’re a professional athlete playing in New York City, the only way to shut up fans and writers alike is to shut up yourself and perform.
