Thanks to two straight losses at the hands of the lowly Carolina Hurricanes and Buffalo Sabres, New York Rangers’ fans are feeling salty.

Clinching day in the land of the New York Rangers wasn’t just squandered once, it was blown twice.

First the squad decided to get throttled by the Carolina Hurricanes during Eric Staal‘s homecoming, and then two nights later they lost on home-ice against the lowly Buffalo Sabres. The only thing worse was watching Henrik Lundqvist get pulled just one minute into the second period on Saturday night.

They’ve witnessed Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins leapfrog them for second in the Metropolitan Division, and suddenly now find themselves in a battle to maintain a top-three spot – looking to avoid an Eastern Conference wild card.

All of Rangerstown is feeling a little uneasy. All, especially the biggest fan of all: The Fuhrer.
