Hosting the Toronto Maple Leafs at Madison Square Garden Sunday night, the New York Rangers scored their second goal in shocking style.
By Robby Sabo
Check out this long distance goal from the Rangers center (video above).
He hurled it from center-ice – a prayer that actually snuck under the pads and between the five-hole of Leafs goalie Jonathan Bernier. As a goalie, it doesn’t get much worse than that.
This is especially the case for Bernier, who’s struggling more than any other goaltender in the NHL. He hasn’t won a game since last season while sporting a record of 0-7 this campaign to go along with a goals against average of above 3.00.
