On Sunday the series concluded with a 20-6 romping.
Chase Headley, Stephen Drew and Jacoby Ellsbury all smashed home runs in the game. Drew batted a perfect 4-for-4 with 4 RBI in total. It seemed anytime the Yanks had a runner in scoring position they’d knock it in somehow.
Even relief pitcher Branden Pinder did some damage to everybody’s amazement.
Nate Eovaldi once again received is world-renowned run-support he’s been so spoiled with in 2015. He yielded five runs on eight hits in only five innings of work but picked up the win.
With the AL East leading Toronto Blue Jays also winning on Sunday, The Yankees have kept pace to the 1.5 game deficit in the division. Next up will be the Red Sox for three games in Boston starting Monday night.
