Pending NBA mega free agents Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are reportedly “apprehensive” towards considering the New York Knicks.

It’s all set. The New York Knicks dream roster for the 2019-2020 NBA season is pretty much all configured. The only facet remaining is actually making it come to fruition.

It’s pretty. It’s so pretty.

Unfortunately for the miserable base of Knickerbockers fandom, that’s fantasy. The following is possible reality.

According to Chris Broussard of FOX Sports 1, mega free agents Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving—despite rumors to the contrary—have apprehensions surrounding a possible move to New York this summer.

“The dream scenario for the Clippers is Kawhi (Leonard) and KD,” Broussard said on FS1’s “First Things First” on Wednesday. “And I was told yesterday by a good source — we all know Kyrie and KD are considering the Knicks, right? But I was told that they have some apprehensions about New York. Why? Because of the media, which makes all the sense in the world from what we’ve seen. That could benefit the Clippers.”

Durant, 30, is somewhat of a sensitive dude. The topic is well chronicled through his days in Oklahoma City and then, eventually, Golden State. How in the world would he ever make it in Manhattan with the blood-thirsty tabloids covering his every move?

It’s outstanding pushback.

Irving, 26, is a Jersey boy whose epic homecoming would commence if signed on the dotted line with the Knicks. Of course, he’s also been stuck in the middle of certain controversies through the years.

For now, the let the dream march forward. Also, for now, be wary of any situation involving the New York Knicks and Kevin Durant or Kyrie Irving.
