This past Wednesday, two of high school’s greatest talents squared off in LaMelo Ball and Zion Williamson. Who took home the edge?
Two of High Schools Basketball’s biggest names squared off on Wednesday night. LaMelo Ball faced off against Zion Williamson.
Ball, according to ESPN class of 2019 ranks as the eighth best player. Williamson is ranked as the second best player by ESPN for the class of 2018.
The matchup lived up to the hype as they both put on a show. Sports Illustrated Twitter provided highlights of the matchup.
Ball exploded for 36 points and nine assists, while Williamson dropped 31 points and snared eight boards. He also had some highlight dunks which is always the case with him.
It was Williamson’s team that won the game 104-92. And yes from the video it was confirmed that loud mouth Lavar Ball, the coach of his son’s team was hit with a technical foul.
After the game, Lavar Ball declared himself as the best coach ever. Keyword here people, he has declared himself.
He told ESPN Jeff Borzello “The best coach ever. That’s how I describe myself,” Ball told ESPN before the game. “The best coach ever. Because I said so”.
Strong words from a man who’s team just lost the championship game. Even a loss won’t shut him up.
