The New York Knicks and Houston Rockets just need to get this Carmelo Anthony trade done already. At this point, I think we’re all tired of reading sources and report without seeing that Anthony’s been traded.Apparently, this deal is tough to get done because New York and Houston are bringing in multiple teams to try out multiple scenarios. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, they include four-team deals.
An Anthony reunion with former coach, and foe, Mike D’Antoni once seemed absurd. Now the two appear to be on the same page about wanting to win.
Anthony wants to play with his friend Chris Paul, and James Harden would form a duo better than any two players he’s ever been on the court with before.
Ryan Anderson has been mentioned as a potential piece involved in a trade on Houston’s end. New York would need more to accept a deal for their star.
It’s ironic that Anthony is finally willing to waive his no-trade clause and New York can’t agree on a trade. Classic stuff here from the Knicks.
