New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony is reportedly expecting a trade to the Houston Rockets and a reunion with Mike D’Antoni.

Carmelo Anthony being traded to the Houston Rockets seems like a foregone conclusion. Even Anthony thinks so.

Ian Begley of ESPN talks about Melo feeling “confident” to Houston in this Youtube video from user Yasin Network.

Right now, it’s just a matter of who else will be included in the deal. On the Houston side, it’s likely that Ryan Anderson will be a part of things.

A reunion with former head coach Mike D’Antoni was too tempting to pass up for Anthony as he has reportedly agreed to waive his no-trade clause for Houston.

Playing with close friend and new Houston point guard Chris Paul is, of course, part of the appeal for Anthony. Playing with the newly super-rich James Harden will be pretty fun too.

The only puzzling factor is how Anthony fits into Houston’s offense. They like to run up and down the court at every chance and Anthony is at his best when the offense slows down and he can isolate.
