Florida guard Canyon Barry will play with the New York Knicks‘ summer league team. The 23-year-old is the son of NBA legend Rick Barry.

The Knicks worked out Canyon Barry, son of NBA legend Ricky Barry, back in May and apparently it went well. One day after the 2017 NBA Draft, Canyon was offered a spot on the Knicks’ summer league team.

Ian Begley of ESPN New York reported that Barry would be in Orlando.

If Barry ever makes it to New York fans will get to see how he shoots free throws underhand, just like his famous father. It worked for him too. Barry shot 80.8 percent from the line during his four-year career.

The 23-year-old played three seasons at the College of Charleston before playing his final year of eligibility with the Florida Gators.

Former Wisconsin big man Nigel Hayes also reportedly will be a part of New York’s summer league team. Like Barry, Hayes, 22, gives the Knicks veteran experience.
