Former NBA head coach turned analyst Mike Fratello gave his review of New York Knicks draft target Frank Ntilikina.

He knows what it takes to get it done in the NBA.Fratello will be analyzing prospects for Thursday’s event. One of the top guys he has an opinion on is New York Knicks draft target Frank Ntilikina. The former Cavs coach was mixed in his review of the 18-year-old.

“If the Knicks draft him, he might not play much the first two years,’’ Fratello said. “But he has great upside, with size, a terrific defender. He has range on his shot. A terrific kid, from everyone I talked to there in France I know, and he loves basketball. He’s an assist-first type guy. He’d rather throw a pass for a layup than create a shot for himself. And he’s a big point-guard prospect. That’s what he is: a point guard — not a 2- guard.’’
The idea of Frank not playing much in his first two years is a concern.
On the other hand, Fratello also says what the rest of the league has taken note of about Frank: his pass-first nature and defensive potential. Those are just a couple of the reasons why the Knicks are infatuated with the enigmatic point guard.
