New York Mets announcer Ron Darling might have threatened Noah Syndergaard after the pitcher got into a confrontation with Jay Horwitz.
Sunday wasn’t a good day for New York Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard.
Syndergaard left Sunday’s game against the Nationals early due to tearing his right lat muscle. He was placed on the 10-day disabled list on Monday. Mets manager Terry Collins did not want to discuss Thor’s injury.
A few days ago, the Mets ace refused to get an MRI after experiencing some arm trouble.
Thor not getting an MRI lead to him getting into a confrontation in the clubhouse with Mets PR man Jay Horwitz. Mets announcer and former pitcher Ron Darling wasn’t happy with Thor for getting in a confrontation with Horwitz.
“In my opinion that is about as weak as it can get and hopefully that never happens again,” Darling said on Sunday’s broadcast. “Luckily, I wasn’t there. I wouldn’t take that.”
The question is, what did Darling mean when he said, “Luckily I wasn’t there?” Would he have gotten into a fight with the almighty Thor? Darling is lucky that he wasn’t there because he might have gotten hit by more than a ball if he was.
Hmmmmmm .............
maybe Syndergaard isn't quite the good-guy 'off the field' as he is 'on it' ???
(when he's able to be 'on it')
