Carmelo Anthony, the captain of the New York Knicks, made it clear that he intends to stay with the organization for the long haul.
The Carmelo Anthony trade rumors should quiet down for good now.
In a video posted by The Vertical, the great Adrian Wojnarowski briefly talked about Carmelo Anthony possibly moving teams.
Wojnarowski stated that the Knicks have not impressed Anthony by any of their proposed offers, and he will most likely remain a Knick for the rest of the season.
The Clippers, who were previously linked to deal for Anthony, have seemed to abandoned talks with the Knicks for now. Instead of trading for Anthony this season, the Clippers will instead make another run for Anthony after the season around the NBA Draft.
Woj also mentioned that other teams who had interest in Anthony previously are out of the running. These teams were not made clear by Woj, but Anthony has been involved in numerous trade rumors involving the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Anthony signed a five-year, $120 million dollar deal during the summer of 2014. This deal involved a no trade clause which makes any deal for Anthony impossible without his consent. The 32-year old can become a free agent as early as 2018.
