New York Yankees third baseman Chase Headley, former first baseman Mark Teixeira, and Dellin Betances all received awards at this year’s BBWAA dinner.

The New York Yankees were well represented at this year’s BBWAA awards dinner, where Chase Headley, Mark Teixeira, Dellin Betances, and Aroldis Chapman were all recipients of a few awards.

Third baseman Chase Headley received the Epstein/Castellano Good Guy Award and Mark Teixeira received the Slocum Award for Long and Meritorious Service which was also handed to former Red Sox slugger David Ortiz.

Both men had the opportunity to head to the podium and say a few words to accept the award. It is very evident in Headley’s presentation that he has grown some facial hair, which many Yankees do in the offseason since they are not allowed to do so during the season.

That was not all for the bombers though, the Willie, Mickey and the Duke Award was awarded to Dellin Betances, Aroldis Chapman and Andrew Miller for their dominance in the first half of 2016.

The New York Baseball Writers’ Association of America dinner took place on Saturday night at the New York Hilton where the winners of the 2016 AL/NL MVP, Cy Young, Rookie of the Year, Manager of the Year all received their trophies.
