Winnipeg Jets’ defenseman Dustin Byfuglien throws his name into the discussion for Hit of the Year.
By William Chase
Such was the case tonight when Winnipeg Jets’ defenseman Dustin Byfuglien absolutely leveled Ottawa Senators’ forward Mark Stone tonight in Winnipeg.
Of course this wouldn’t be the first time Big Buff has shown the ability to throw his weight around:
Stone was able to skate off, but left the game due to the chest injury at the hands of the six-foot-five, 260-pounder, Mr. Byfuglien.
If there’s any consolation for Senators fans, the Sens held on to beat the Jets 2-1. This, despite being the last Canadian club in the NHL to be eliminated from the Stanley Cup playoffs.
